"First Aid and CPR for Everyone - An Introduction to Basic Lifesaving Skills" Kit now available

Recent research has shown that continuous Compression-Only CPR (or what they call "Hands-Only CPR") can be effective in caring for a person with no signs of life when a rescuer is unable, untrained or unwilling to perform CPR.

"First Aid and CPR for Everyone- An Introduction to Basic Lifesaving Skills" is an at-home kit for practicing Compression-Only CPR.  The kit contains a compression practice tool and hand placement diagram.  There is an instructional DVD, an emergency steps wallet card and an emergency First Aid Guide booklet. The kits are available at the Transylvania County Chapter for $9.95.
Those who take CPR training for certification to meet State and Federal requirements, lay responders in workplaces who have a duty to respond, and those caring for infants and children, will still need to take training which includes full CPR (cycles of chest compressions and rescue breaths).
